1 in 10 newborn babies in Australia today will be affected by Plagiocephaly, or Flat-Head Syndrome. This is a very serious condition where your baby gets a flat or mis-shapened head due to prolonged pressure from firm surfaces. As I’m sure you’re aware, babies spend most of their time on their backs or side which puts them at high risk of developing this condition. The Baby-Head-Rest is designed is combat this problem of flat-head syndrome.
The Baby-Head-Rest is a soft memory foam pillow with a very soft cotton cover. It is contoured to fit the shape of a baby’s head and neck. When we trialled the product on our little baby of 11 weeks we found it to be great. It lifted his head enough that he was still comfortable and it took the pressure off his skull which helps to prevent the risk of plagiocephaly.
We found it was a great addition to use while playing on the play mat and while he was in the pram. After reviewing this product I would recommend that all new mothers invest in the Baby-Head-Rest. Flat-head syndrome is a serious condition that can possibly delay development of the child. The baby-head-rest is an inexpensive prevention of this and it creates great piece of mind for me as the mother!

Here at Aussie Product Review we were very excited to receive these great products by Oopsie. Their product range includes a bottle bag, lunch bag and a multipurpose bag all of which come in both their unique modern fabric designs, red scooter or their beautiful blue birds. Oishi-m design and produce limited edition garments that splash kimono, vintage and retro fabrics together with denim and cotton to create funky unique garments for new born babies and busy little people (mostly sized 000-2).
Uninspired and frustrated with the stock-standard frilly pinks and baby blues found on the High Street, Oishi-m [Oy-shee-em] was born from a passion to create a fashion-forward clothing line for infants and toddlers. Having become a mother herself, creative mastermind, fabric fiend and founder Fiona Willersdorf, saw the opportunity to combine her love of bespoke/hand made clothing with the fact that she had recently given birth to her yummy little daughter called Mila. Oishi-m was the result, Oishi = yummy in Japanese and M = Mila
We were impressed when we received these cute and funky little clothes to review. Oishi-m is unlike any other baby clothing we have seen before. To look at the pants, you just see the design will work. The ‘Red Rascal Skinny Jean’ we received are designed with enough space for a nappy, be it cloth or disposable. The pants also have an elastic waist, (something like my pregnancy jeans), with just enough spring to stretch over the nappy and still hug nicely to the babies’ body.
I trialled this outfit on Heath, my chubby 2 month old. I found that the design of the pants worked just as well as I thought they would. With plenty of room in the pants, Heath still had enough room to comfortably wiggle around and for me, they were a synch to put on him. The little ‘Super Green Screen T-shirt’ created the perfect combo outfit. Oishi-m have a fantastic range of funky outfits for both boys and girls. The fashion and design of these items are something you should definately not go past. They are unique and edgy as well as very comfortable for your little angel.
