The beautiful Vanessa from Kidz Tea
is the mum of two gorgeous little girls. She says" In my own love for
sitting down to a nice cup of tea and feeling the great benefits of it,
my eldest daughter Alira took an interest in having a cup of tea with
me and loves feeling like a 'big girl' when having a cuppa with mummy."
And that's how Kidz Tea was born!
The
smell of these gorgeous teas hit us immediately on arrival - a
beautiful, fresh aroma of berries! We couldn't wait to review them. Oh,
we know they are teas for kids and the kids loved them but they were
just as popular with the adults!
Vanessa also explains that "Throughout
the different teas there are some amazing health benefits to children
and what a great alternative to cordial and heavily sugared fruit
juices. Kidz Tea can be
delicious warm on a cold wintery morning or refreshing as a cold drink
on a hot summers day. A great little treat also is to mix it with

How right she is - the kids
accepted the teas readily and we tried them on warm and cold versions,
both went down without a fight! The smell of the teas really attracted
the kids firstly but they sipped and drank them to the very end and
loved them. You can't get a better endorsement than that from children.

with delightful names like 'Andy Apple', Ricky Raspberry', 'Penny
Peach' and my personal favourite 'Tina Colada'! Explainantion cards are
attached so you know what's in the teas and how to prepare them. You can

We were delighted to review these very special slippers from SunShadow Slippers who are based at Mullumbimby, NSW. Here’s a little about them:
For those of you who are
not familiar with the Steiner philosophy you may not be aware of the
importance of daily rhythms within this system. Children are encouraged
with regular activities to enjoy the rhythms of life and to feel in
touch with the changes in seasons and weather.
As
part of this they create certain the distinction between outside play
and indoor time by the changing of shoes. Wearing soft, nurturing shoes
indoors helps us to feel warm and cosy and can help to stop those
chills.
The Sunshadow
range was designed specifically for that purpose, using natural fibres,
which allow the feet to ‘breath’ and can be happily worn in warmer or
cooler weather. Each
pair of slippers is uniquely created to be just as individual as you
are, the dye is low toxic and sun reactive which means the process is
very weather reliant, good job we have plenty of sunshine here! The

Pure Cotton Lycra is hand painted with cute designs and left in the warmth of the sun to dry.
Then the material is hand cut and sewn into the softest suede leather soles.
Tucked inside to ensure baby's toes are warm and 'snuggley' is an insole of the purest wool felt.
These shoes are a funky
design with traditional craftmanship. They are comfortable and really
stay on - they are even washable incase of those little accidents.
We reviewed two lovely
pairs of slippers and the younger child, which we thought might pull
them off at any chance, did not! He was even fascinated by the colour
and print on the slippers. Our older reviewer commented on how comfy
they were and loved the colour too! They were worn constantly inside
over the last six cold weeks of winter and they kept these feet warm and

This week’s review has been created by the ingenious ladies at

The BeCool Wrap Box set was created after an experience when Marie’s son
was injured at home in a treadmill accident. The cold pack was too big
and uncomfortable for her little boy’s hand giving rise to what has
turned into an amazing product and their business, BeBrave.
More than just a cold/hot gel pack, this box set comes with not just the
BeCool Wrap and the gel pack but also the BeBrave Bear and character
stickers. While Mum or Dad treats the injury, the injured can cuddle the
BeBrave Bear to be comforted and then receive a sticker for being
brave.
As a mother of two boys, 4 and 5, I knew the BeCool Wrap was going to be
extremely practical item to have in the house. By Sunday afternoon I
put it into action. My youngest had bumped his knee; giving him the
BeBrave Bear I told him he needed to be as brave as the bear while I
dressed his knee with the cold gel pack. My son held onto the BeBrave
Bear tight and restrained the tears. As a reward for being brave he got
the bear sticker which he proudly showed his brother and explained how
brave he was.

injury. Not only that, he went away proud that he was brave and didn’t

The dinosaur playground wall graphics we received for review wowed us the minute we opened the package, not only did we receive the dinosaur wall stickers but also personalised wall letters for Daniel’s room. With the variety and quantity of the dinosaur graphics we could be very creative with the layout. (Not only are there dinosaurs but footprints, bones and leaves.) All the lettering and wall graphics come with step by step instruction on how to apply your
Bright Star Kidsgraphics. They were extremely easy to apply and looked so effective once up. These are such a great way to change any room but also could be applied to the fridge or freezer for added interest in the house. The dinosaur wall graphics totally transformed Daniel’s room from boring cream walls to a kid’s prehistoric wonderland. We have no doubt these dinosaurs will make his imagination run wild! In no time at all you can transform any child’s room and it is an easy and inexpensive way to do it!

There are kitchen/pantry stick-on labels and cord stick-on labels which help you organise your cords and make finding the right switch much easier! Here at Aussie Product Review we were very excited to receive these great products by Oopsie. Their product range includes a bottle bag, lunch bag and a multipurpose bag all of which come in both their unique modern fabric designs, red scooter or their beautiful blue birds. Our review demonstrated to us that Oopsie’s products shouldn’t just be considered as baby accessories because they are practical for anyone in the family to take to work or Uni.
We had one Mum test and review the red scooter items we received, which were the bottle bag and multipurpose bag. She decided the single bottle carrier was one of the most useful baby accessories she had been missing out on! Perfectly sized to fit a baby bottle (keeping it cool or warm) or even a 600ml bottle of water for a toddler or a mum on the go. The attached D-ring made it easy to remember the bottle carrier, as you can attach it to the inside of your handbag, nappy bag or even the side of the pram for easy access. The bottle bag is a fantastically useful product for all!
The multipurpose bag, is exactly that, multipurpose. It is really up to you what you want in this stylish bag, sandwiches, snacks, drinks or even two baby bottles for those longer shopping days. Don’t think only food though, nappies, wipes and creams would be fine too. The multi bag has thick padding for protection and insulation, great for carrying those baby bottles. There is an adjustable strap to pop over your pram, a mesh pocket with zip closure on the inside and a compartment on the front held together with Velcro, perfect for quick access to wipes for messy faces! Multipurpose with multi compartments.
The third product in Oopsie’s range, the blue bird lunch bag, was given to our Uni student to review. This item was put through its paces being used 4 to 5 times a week. All we can say is she loved using it! ‘Too cute’ was the first response to the fabric design on this lunch bag, an instant winner! This lunch bag is a spacious size, quite comfortably fitting 6 drink cans. It has an external and internal zip closing pockets and an adjustable carry strap. Our young reviewer loved this product. Not only did it fit her lunch, drinks and snacks, it ended up saving her money on not buying lunch every other day!

This week we are reviewing the beautiful felt and wooden handmade toys from The Fairy Ring. The owner, Paisley, has created a wonderful website full of the most gorgeous handmade toys that are sure to be a huge hit for any child!
Paisley has been hand making dolls, toys, decorations and other items from wool, felt and other natural materials for 13 years. In addition to hand crafting the items on
the fairy ring website, Paisley teaches craft and holds numerous workshops on felting techniques - even doing children's parties.
She is actively involved in the local Rudolf Steiner (Waldorf) school community, having previously occupied positions in the executive committee and contributing to fund raising and other efforts. We had the pleasure of reviewing a selection of toys including some little wooden cars made from renewable plantation wood and brightly painted in non toxic colours. They were very cute and kept our little reviewer happy for ages! These cars were very well made and sturdy. Pictured below is the little red tow truck.
The felt toys were all delicately and lovingly sewn with great attention to detail as you can see in the photos. Made from hand dyed 100% wool felt and natural stuffing these toys are hand cut, hand sewn and hand made using age old techniques. We were very impressed by the quality of these gorgeous toys and can highly recommend them to you and your children!
The toys are beautiful to the touch and come in a range of sizes and colours.

Firstly, the packaging of these cute little shoes was just as exciting as the shoes themselves.
The shoes we received were a girl’s pair of ‘Purple Posies’ and they are just adorable. Designed with all little girls in mind, they are lilac in colour and feature soft pink, white and hot pink flowers on the front. There is also a hot pink flower on the Velcro strap.
The quality of these shoes is fantastic and you just know they will last the distance on little feet. We had no complaints about these shoes from our little reviewer and since they are made from 100% genuine soft leather we didn’t expect any! (In fact, they are now her favourite shoes and does not want to take them off!)
The squeaky soles of the shoes are not only fun for the child but can assist in helping your child learn to walk. The shoes squeakers can be removed if the need arises. The soles of the shoes are flexible, allowing your child’s feet to develop as naturally as possible and the soft leather allows breathing of the feet preventing bacterial problems associated with synthetic uppers.

Our review this week comes from the lovely Sarah Dawson who is the proud owner of Little Billies - Positive Parenting Tools. She kindly gave us one of her fantastic charts, the 'My Week Chart' to test run and it worked perfectly!
This is such a great idea to help organise the kids and even help you out remembering what significant events are happening in the week to come.
Little Billies have designed an A4 magnetic chart with 48 bright and colourful individual magnets labelled with various activities, such as shopping, family outing, swimming, etc. The chart has been designed with children in mind as the chart itself can be personalised with your childs name, can be gender specific and you can also select the colour of your choice. The individual magnets are extremely colourful and have great little pictures on them which keep the children interested.
This is a good tool to help teach your child about the structure of a week in a fun way and they can begin to learn the concept of time while waiting for exciting events to come about. This is definitely a great visual aid for both you and your child to help throughout the week.
The ‘My Week Chart’ is so fun and colourful that we found our reviewer, Gabby, wanting to check what the day had in store for her every morning. She loved organising her week on the Sunday night and excitingly checked her chart every morning to see what was going on that day. On days where nothing was happening she would happily tell me something was coming up, like, ‘Two days until Grandma is coming.’ It was great to see her enjoying the structure of the weeks.
Not only is this a great chart for the children but I found it much easier to plan the days/week knowing of the events that were already pre-planned. This chart not only helped my daughter organise the week but also the rest of the family. I often saw my husband take a sneaky look at what was planned for the weekend and he even added a ‘dad date’ magnet to lock in some time with his daughter. I love the idea of this and we will definitely continue to use the Little Billies ‘My Week Chart’.

We at
Aussie Product Review, were given the "My Busy School Week" chart to review and honestly we don't know how we got by without it! Our reviewer is absolutely hooked claiming it's made life "so much less stressful"!
Once you know how the chart works the children take charge of their own responsibilities and they feel a sense of pride and accomplishment every day. This makes their lives less stressful too and the flow on effect from that is very calming indeed!
The chart is divided into three sections, weekly, daily and rewards. The weekly section is for regular activities such as swimming, library etc. The daily routine section can include teeth brushing, breakfast etc and finally the rewards section where stars are awarded for taskes completed. We rewarded even further, when five stars were given then the children got to pick which movie they would like to go and see.
As you can see we were very impressed with how this chart influenced the behaviour of the children but also the quality of the chart itself was also very impressive. It held well to the fridge and with the children using it daily it stood up to the constant manipulating very well. We did have to add a little bag for the magnets but that was just more fun for the kids.
We'd highly recommend the Magnetic Moves "My Busy School Week" chart for 5 -12 year olds and would also suggest you take a look at their other chart, "My Busy Day" which suits the 3 -5 year age range. Both charts come with 50 thick magnetic tiles, an A4 Magnetic base chart, 50 (2.5cmx2.5cm) magnetic colour coded activity tiles and 4 or 5 reward tiles respectively.

The most common kind of bonnet worn today is a soft head covering for babies and small children. Karimu has a lovely range of bonnets in different designer fabrics. They are shaped similarly to the kind of bonnets women used to wear, which is they cover the hair and ears, but not the forehead. This style of head wear is perfect for babies and small children as they have delicate scalps and little hair.
The quality of this handmade bonnet is superb, exquisitely stitched and designed. The top layer of the bonnet is a designer fabric in a green and beige pattern and the underneath fabric is a lovely solid lighter green. The colours of the fabric work perfectly together and all the fabric is 100% cotton. The back of the bonnet is gently gathered with an adjustable ribbon drawstring so it can grow with your child. The tie under the chin is a great length as not to irritate the child but there is enough to tie the bonnet up securely. This is a fantastic design for a bonnet and has been handmade perfectly!

Dave is Brave is the first book in the Learn to be Buddies series written by Amanda Gray.
Dave is Brave can be used to teach children language needed for defending themselves. It can be used to teach children about the difference between anger and assertiveness. You can use the pictures to teach children about body language and facial expressions.... and the list goes on.
The book is written in a similar format to a social story so that it can be used for children such as those with Autism who need explicit instruction in social skills.
It is a great book for children to begin the learning of social behaviours and, in this case, skills for dealing with a bully. Dave is Brave is a simple and comprehensive picture book that has a direct meaning which is told in a way small children will understand. It is great for children to learn that they do have the power to stand up for themselves in the right way and tackle a problem that is affecting them. This book works on giving the child the confidence and right tools on being able to deal with such issues as bullying.
The illustrations correspond to the words on every page. It makes a great way of not only telling but showing a child what is going on in the bullying scenario. The illustrations are clear and do not take over from the facts the picture book is conveying.
Once the story is over there are five questions at the back of the book. Again, this is another way of interacting with the child for their point of view on how they would deal with such a problem, the feelings each character would have, etc. This is a good way for the parent or teacher to see what they have learnt from the book or even find out if the child has ever been in a situation of bullying. These questions open the door for communication on bullying between child and adult, that otherwise probably would never happen.

The Rustic Future clothing items we received to review were a boys pair of cargo style pants and a girls pair of black winter pants. Just by looking at these clothes we knew they would be a hit with the kids. They are designer looking, therefore extremely fashionable, which would please any girl or boy.
Just by touching these pants you can feel the great quality. The fabric is thick which make the items very durable. The boys cargo style pants have a padded feel to them, they are soft and definitely would be warm for your special little man. The girls pants look extra stylish with the white detail on the pockets and the charm style zip.
Both have extremely practical elastic inserted into the waist band of the pants which enables you to tighten the pants or make the waist band smaller and is held in place by a button. Great if your child is tall but slender, you can get the length required and just pull in the waist band.
